Only then does our roofer roll out the bitumen and then cut away the remaining parts. We expertly make sure that everything is securely fastened, then burn bitumen to the roof and press it down. Shingles are light roof tiles made of bitumen. The shingles, like ceramic roof tiles, lie overlapping in rows on the roof and form a good waterproof protective layer. The material is very light, very suitable for lighter building constructions. It can also be used to cover irregularly shaped roofs. An additional and not unimportant advantage: roof shingles are relatively inexpensive.
